Since 1865 the Charing Cross hotel has stood as a monument to the power and confidence of the Victorian era, and can lay claim to being the most central hotel in London - as the Eleanor Cross, located just outside the hotel, is regarded as the official centre of London.

The hotel has been transformed to bring it into the 21st century, and there have been many changes — some large, some so subtle you may not notice them at first. What we've always been determined to preserve, however, is this London hotel's innate elegance and refinement. The timeless gentility of Charing Cross gives it a unique atmosphere and outlook, with 239 bedrooms and junior suites, as well as an AA rosette restaurant enjoying views over Trafalgar Square and the Strand.
