Dr. Christian Rosenkranz is in charge of Global Business Development & EU Governmental Affairs for the Joint Venture Johnson Controls – Saft. The joint venture was been established in January 2006 as an entity for the development, production and sales of advanced battery technology (NiMH and Li-Ion ) for hybrid- and electric vehicles.Christian Rosenkranz has a PhD in chemistry with a dissertation and thesis in electro chemistry and has studied in Hannover and London Imperial College. He will be representing EUROBAT. EUROBAT is the unified voice of the European automotive and industrial battery industry based in Brussels, Belgium.

Peter Pichler studied at the Technical University of Graz Electrical Engineering. In 2002 he received his doctorate at the University of Leoben. From 2002 until 04/2003 Dr. Pichler was Head of the Advanced Development Department at ATB Antriebstechnik. In May 2003 he became Head of Alternative Propulsion Systems at MAGNA STEYR. Since January 2008 Peter Pichler works as Product Manager for electrical energy storage systems.

James is the Chief Operating Officer of High Power Lithium (HPL SA) in Switzerland and has a decade's experience in clean technology start-ups. Prior to joining HPL in January 2006, James set-up and managed three fuel cell and battery companies, including a fuel cell research center in France. James has a PhD in Physics from the University of Warwick and worked as a researcher for 5 years at the Max Planck Society in Berlin, Germany.

Dr. Peter Miller is Ricardo’s technical expert in high voltage safety & electrical energy storage (batteries, ultracapacitors – covering capabilities, testing, modelling, BMS’s, safety, future trends, etc). His experience covers all aspects of automotive electronics, safety (eg to IEC61508), EMC, hybrid vehicles, etc. Dr. Miller is responsible for Ricardo’s Control and Electronics research direction, including concepts and goals for all its research programs as well as defining Ricardo’s processes for high voltage electrical safety, CE and E marking & EMC design guidelines. Dr. Miller has over 30 patents filed in a wide range of areas including BMS’s, EMC, RF, power electronics. He is also the author/joint author of well over 70 technical papers and publications covering most aspects of automotive electronics.

Vignesh has been quoted in a number of reputed publications including Business week, Financial Times, Autonews Europe, Just-Auto and has published articles in European Automotive Components News (EACN) and Automotive Supply.
